Opening The Third Eye: An Easy Guide
The “third” eye, the mystical eye, has always been linked to awareness, perception and spiritual enlightenment. It is commonly known to be located energetically in the centre of the head, just parallel to the middle of your eyebrows. The third eye is also associated with Ajna, the sixth chakra in the body, or as popularly said our sixth sense.
Opening the third eye connects us to a new spiritual reality through gained insight and wisdom. It allows us to access and sift through the layers of our existence. Your activated third eye, will reveal your conditioned behaviour, what you project into existence and help you recognise how you have been projected on to by other people.
Question & Inquire
In fact, to instigate this opening, start with the practice of investigating your identity, your built perceptions, your body and your experiences. This will add to and heighten your awareness of self.
There are many routes you can take. Practice having a conversation with yourself in the mirror about your beliefs or to have a record start journalling to answer questions. Give yourself a prompt to explore what roles you play in your life and how you currently feel.
To put it clearly, you have to be curious about things that have shaped your life. This awareness will teach you to discern between apparent reality and a created one. Meditation will add to this. Take time to consciously sit with these realisations and allow yourself to absorb the insight gained.
Record & Reflect
However, this is not the only way to master and connect your unconscious. During sleeping, your third eye is active, manifesting in the form of dreams. Keeping a record of your dreams and the observations you have about them will better your understanding and allow you to see not previously noticed patterns and insights.
In the end, keeping easy practices in your routine, even if it is ten minutes a day, will help you stay consistent in moving towards consciously opening your third eye.
