This chakra is associated with the colour green and is located in the centre of the chest between the breasts. It is connected to the element of air as it represents the flow and balance of our emotions. This also affects our trust in the environment and ourselves.

Overall, this chakra represents our relationship with the connection. This includes our ability to love ourselves with compassion and care, only to also allow ourselves to receive love likewise from the world around us.
A healthy heart chakra will allow you to honour your sensitivity and empathy while holding unconditional love for yourself. It will also influence your relationship with others and how you hold space for them. It embodies the belief that your sensitivity can be a strength rather than a vulnerability or a burden.
Holding Space For All Of Yourself
This chakra allows you to seek a balanced approach when it comes to looking at the world because it also acknowledges one’s weaknesses and encourages compassion towards human imperfection. This will further save from being jaded and becoming disappointed with the world when things don’t go as planned.
Once we can balance out this chakra, we can practice non-judgmental discernment as we feel more connected and understanding of the world. This allows us to seek and have our emotional needs met without giving to point of draining ourselves.
Healing Our Hurt
An imbalance in your heart chakra can show up as low self-esteem, a lack of empathy and compassion, a sense of rejection, a lack of trust in others, emotional dependency and jealousy. Since this chakra rules our lungs and heart, its imbalance can turn into respiratory ailments such as asthma, breast cancer, and circulatory issues. This imbalance can be countered by giving ourselves recognition, forgiveness, acceptance and tenderness.
