The Third Eye Chakra’s Vision
The third eye chakra, also known as Ajna, meaning a “perception” or”beyond wisdom”, is the sixth chakra in the seven chakra systems. This chakra is located between our eyebrows. It is associated with the colour indigo blue and the element of light. It represents our subconscious, perception and intuition. To be understood better, it can be thought of as the sixth sense of knowing that comes after the basic five senses.
Our Subtle Inner Knowledge
Just like a third eye, itself, this chakra is sensitive to what the other two eyes cannot see. This means it holds the key to clairvoyance, and future readings, providing us subtle messages with sensations in our body, dreams, auras, and out-of-body experiences. This third eye chakra is known to be responsible for our self-realization, our imagination, visualization, clarity and creative dreaming by accessing our higher consciousness.
In fact, this allows us to have guidance while moving through life as we gain perspective from our lower and higher selves. This third eye chakra helps us use our imagination and higher perspective, to manifest and go after a life that we truly want by allowing us to visualize it. This energy centre holds the key to your clarity especially when it comes to balancing your intuition and logic when it comes to making decisions.
Most importantly, this chakra is in charge of the pineal gland, which consequently controls your nervous system, and sleep cycle eventually affecting your cerebellum and endocrine system.
Importance of Clearing Sight
This means an imbalance in the third eye chakra can show up as headaches, hearing problems, migraines, anxiety, dizziness, brain disorders, confusion, and close-mindedness. These problems can be countered by eating blue or purple fruit in our diet, supporting headstand and fish yoga poses while using affirmations for intuition and insight. A daily practice of expanding your wisdom and perspective will help, whether that be through new activities or books.
