The Star In Tarot

The Star Card is the seventeenth card in Major Arcana Deck but is associated with renewal and hope after a period of turmoil. This is because the Star Card comes after the Tower Card, which means all our false foundations have been destroyed and we are closer to the core of truth ourselves.

This is represented by the nude woman who signifies vulnerability and a sense of purity with her bare skin. She has one foot in the water, representing her intuition, and inner resources, while the other is on the ground presenting her ability to stay practical and grounded.

Higher Connection

It is important to note the balance she holds, while she pours out two containers of water. The one in her left hand represents the subconscious as she yours the water back into the pond and the one in her right hand pours the water out to nourish the land and extend its fertility. This act of being balanced comes from being at her core and also recognising her connectivity to the divine.

Holding Out For Hope

These characteristics ask us to place faith in ourselves and connect back to the freedom of ourselves whether that be our purpose or understood as our soul’s mission. In practicality, this means dedicating time to connect with our higher self or our spiritual practice.

Blessed & Balanced

In this card, behind her shines one large star representing her singular essence and then seven smaller stars that represent the chakras. This representation of the division of energy is a reminder of how the divine can bless us and bring us what we desire.

In addition to this, the card indicates that you will be entering a period of serenity and peace. Inspiration may even strike you. However most of all, this card is a reminder to let you know that things will be okay now, as you’ve survived the tower.
