Channelling Your Solar Plexus Chakra
The solar plexus chakra, also known as Manipura, meaning “city of jewels” is the third chakra in the seven chakra systems. This chakra is associated with the color yellow and is located in the solar plexus, which is your lower chest. It is connected to the element of fire as it represents our personal power shaped by will and identity.
Our Ego and Self
Overall, this chakra represents our ego and our personality. It holds our will to evolve, and transform. A healthy sacral chakra will allow you to have a personality, that is able to work its intention, energy, and urges in the direction of what you want while withstanding external challenges and pressures. This chakra allows you access to your personal power, inner stability, and clarity to move towards your goals as an integrated self.
The Fuel To Be
Once we can balance out this chakra, we are able to be a self motivated individual, who can move towards their sense of purpose. With this determination, not only are we able to redirect our energy, if there is a block in our goals but we also learn to understand our limits and our potential. It is the fuel, to our being, giving us the energy to achieve what we want.
Most importantly, the Manipura is also in charge of your digestive system, meaning it can take what you consume and turn it into energy for you to access and use. The solar plexus chakra in the same way can integrate all of our urges, experiences, and passion into a coherent identity that we can utilize to give direction to our life.
The Careful Balance of Power
An imbalance in your solar plexus chakra can show up as fatigue, low self-esteem, self-sabotage, overly authoritative or controlling behavior, lack of clear direction, digestive disorders and even diabetes. This imbalance can be countered by, acknowledging your needs and recognizing the extent of control of having them met, while letting go of the rest.
