What is Sacred Geometry?

Sacred Geometry

Sacred Geometry is the study of the symbolic and spiritual meanings of various geometric shapes and proportions. This study can be applied to numbers, patterns, shapes, lines and forms throughout the world, from the spiral of a snail’s shell to the design of a snowflake, to the anatomy of a flower, or the cellular structure.

Blueprint Of Everything In Existence

These patterns can be seen on a microscopic level but also on a larger macro level where they are seen to govern the stars and orbiting planets in space. Historically, sacred geometry was used in many places, from composing music to constructing sacred architectural structures like mosques or temples.

Sacred Geometry holds the story of how the universe was created, and what it contains. Studying the pattern of the universe itself is an equation acknowledged and explored even before Mesopotamian times, yet sacred geometry grew more popularised when popular philosophers like Plato and Pythagoras also took interest in it.

Numbers Govern Geometry

These geometric shapes and proportions can be understood through numbers themselves, where they form the blueprint of how the shape will look and inform its effect. One more commonly known part of this study is the golden ratio, which can be found everywhere in nature. The golden ratio also fits into the golden mean philosophy which represents the universe’s ability to divide and expand for eternity and how every part created is related to every other part. This loop creates the mathematical law that represents infinity itself.

In addition, you must know the world is considered to be a combination of five sacred solid shapes known as platonic solids that are the building blocks of the universe. Platonic Solids all have equal sides and angles and have the same number of faces that meet at the vertices and correspond to one element. In the end, it is these forms, ratios and equations that are further expanded in knowledge.

Lady Celeste
Lady Celeste found her way to spirituality, by simply connecting the dots life gave her. After being heavily invested in psychology, the unknown psyche and the subconscious, she found herself exploring dreamwork, tarot, and shadow work in spirituality. She now is working on archiving the metaphysical, with what is discovered by science and has always been known by spiritualists to pave the way for others on the same journey.
